Hi guys! New to the forum here, and was wondering what works as the best bait for early May on Lake Erie. Coming up from NE, and first time for all of us up in your neck of the woods. Was figuring on pulling cranks mostly, but was curious on size of lure, color, and possibly speed, and depth?????? I know, I know....dumb ole boy from the sandhills in Nebraska wanting all the secrets!!! Just hoping for some help to add to a possible successful trip. Thank you in advance. Speed44

Speed, Feel free to call the shop for help to your question. A LOT of what you are asking depends on the water temp, I could tell you about prior years and patterns, BUT, nothing better than fresh data. I can tell you, weather permitting, you will have the time of your life. You can fish by day and after dark. Here is a link for printable GPS map so you may follow the reports and see where the fish are being caught.
