Hi, I am just looking for some pointers on early spring shoreline walleye fishing(Lures, Times To Fish, Live Bait? if so what kind? etc......) I will be fishing near Erie, PA about 15 miles east of Presque Isle. There is a cement pier at the camp I will be at which probably sticks out 50-60 feet into the water...How can I use this to my advantage? Thanks for the help, its greatly appreciated-Angler

Angler88 -

What time of the year are you going to be at the camp? The eyes are in close to shore for a short time in the spring & fall. The best time to start casting in usually about 1/2 hour before dark. Some days you might get bites before dark, some days they won't come in to feed until the "wee hours of the morning". Our weapon of choice over the past few years has been the Suspending Husky Jerks. I would suggest size 12's & 14's. X-rap's may work also, and right before dark Reef Runner type lures may be effective.

Hope this info helps..good luck ! ! ! !

Fishing is 95% Luck, and my tank is empty ! ! !
